You'll laugh and cry as my story unfolds, starting from a lonely childhood, surviving paralytic polio, to my years in a religious cult and being a teen mother in an arranged marriage. Later I was a broken-hearted mother without custody. I followed my heart and found happiness as a loving wife, mother and friend.
I grew up in southern California. Texas is my home now and where I work as a real estate paralegal.
My story is one of determination and resilience through many twists and turns to a live a fulfilling and creative life.
Travel has been a big part of my life. I was lucky enough to explore the USA by RV for thirty years. I also love the world of cruising, but that is currently on hold during COVID.
It is also relaxing and joyous for me to garden and entertain and create a warm and lively space for friends and family to gather and share stories. I enjoy the delicious recipes that are shared and special stories held by each recipe.
My newest passion, quilting, calls to me constantly. Quilting came into my life around 2009 when I started working on simple quilts for world relief. Now, I love all styles of quilting including traditional, modern art, applique and machine quilting. I find myself even bold enough to participate in displaying quilts at the Plano Quilt Festival.
The calendar is full with social events including bridge, quilting bees, family, friends, church and travel. It is imperative for me to stay connected and active living life filled with community, purpose, faith and love.
