This is a little bowl. It's made of cotton clothesline, wrapped with fabric at certain places for accent. I used cotton thread.
Started this dreamcatcher around 1996. COVID provided a time to get reaquainted with my old love of counted cross stitch and finish her. She now hangs in our living room.
Even in my youth I used a magnifying light. This is counted cross stitch on linen and very difficult to see. Plus using beads and leather strips (which you can see in the finished piece). The shade in on the pattern as you go is the best method for keeping track of where you are in the pattern.
Professionally stretched, tripple mats and art quality glass makes it very expensive to have framed. I've done it myself, but since this piece took so long to finish - I splurged. It was worth it. I used a coupon at Michael's. They were great!
